Day 1 – Arrival in Copenhagen

On the forefront of sustainability

Arrive in the Danish capital. Copenhagen is at the forefront of a sustainable future and has set the goal to be completely carbon neutral by 2025. You will immediately appreciate why Denmark is one of the global leaders of sustainable development – the openness to innovation and new ideas shapes the face of the city. This tour gives you a unique opportunity to experience and enjoy the Nordics through those lenses.

Receive your public transport card upon arrival & check-in to your eco-friendly hotel – this will give you the freedom to explore the city via the public system and do as the locals. In the evening, travel to Gro Spiseri for a Welcome Dinner. The produce is sourced locally from the corresponding organic rooftop garden ØsterGRO, which is the first of its kind in Denmark. Built on an old car auction, Gro Spiseri is a truly unforgettable tasting experience.

Day 2 – Copenhagen

Explore the city’s architecture by bike

Enjoy the day exploring the city from an entirely different perspective. Copenhagen is known for its visionary architecture, combining organic shapes and modern design with Scandinavian Minimalism and Nordic elegance.

After your organic breakfast, take public transport or walk (approx. 20 minutes) to meet a local architect. The city of Copenhagen is praised as an incredible cycling city and today you will explore the city’s historic structures on a bike tour (2,5 hours, 13km of cycling). Later, cycle to Amager Bakke for a visit to Copenhagen’s famous man-made mountain. The waste-to-energy plant is critical in Copenhagen’s drive of being zero carbon by 2025 and is renowned for its spectacular panoramic views of the capital. Designed by Bjarke Ingels, the power plant also doubles as a ski slope and a climbing wall. Experience this masterpiece during a guided tour and enjoy the views with a drink atop afterwards.

Day 3 – Copenhagen – Stockholm

To Stockholm by train

After your breakfast, walk to Copenhagen central station and catch the train to Stockholm. Cross the famous Øresundbridge connecting Copenhagen and Malmø, creating a vast metropolitan area across borders. Along endless forests and lakes you’ll travel north towards the Swedish Capital. Nestled in between lakes, forests and the seemingly endless archipelago that spreads into the Baltic Sea, Stockholm will enchant you with a bustling combination of modern architecture and old royalty.

Arrive at the central station and walk to the centrally located, eco-certified hotel. Having sat on the train for a few hours, it’s time to get the blood pumping again. Meet a local guide and embark on a 3-hour walking tour through the capital. See the old town and enjoy a visit to the Stockholm City Hall, famous for the annual Nobel Prize ceremonies. Enjoy a free evening in this historic city.

The chefs’ experiment with tastes, combining organic produce with modern Nordic cuisine. It’s Nordic deliciousness on a plate!

Board the boat back from the Museum and enjoy Stockholm from the water as you sail from the forests to the city. Arrive at the pier in the city centre in the afternoon and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
